How does the Emotional Confidence Club work?

Every 6 weeks we focus on a new topic (see above for upcoming topics) and welcome new women into the Club. Then, through our homework exercises, daily threads, teaching calls with Alicia and small group meeting discussions, we consider how this emotion shows up in everyday life using our 7 emotional management tools (our roadmap).

You'll walk away with a specific plan on how to identify this emotion, process it with God, and apply powerful emotional tools to your relationships and everyday life.

Frequently Asked Questions

Every 6 weeks we focus on a new emotions-related topic (see above for the next topic), and we close the doors to new members at this time.

Using both large group teaching with Alicia and small group meetings, we dive deep on this topic, considering how to identify and process this emotion using our 7 emotional management tools (we call our “Roadmap”). Each week our teaching and discussion is followed by related homework exercises in our “playbook”. Then we take what we've learned to our relationships–with others, God and ourselves–for healing, hope and more peace.

All the emotional management principles we use are based on scientific and Scriptural principles from Alicia's book, Emotional Confidence, and on her years of experience working with thousands of women as an ICF-certified coach and NeuroCoach.

Along with our 6-week themes and helpful interaction from other club participants, Club members have access to our exclusive 7 emotional management tools that guide members on how to implement the principles from the Emotional Confidence book (including the ADD Method) into daily life one step at a time.

Since we close and open the group at the start and completion of our 6-week sessions, we ask you to commit for a minimum of 2 months. However, our goal is to build ongoing connections with women as we continue to explore these topics, so you're encouraged to stay in the group as continue to go through these 6-week sessions with us for as long as you'd like!

We meet live on Zoom every week. Three of the six weeks will be teaching calls with Alicia, while the other 3 weeks will be calls with your discussion group. It's similar to the format of a women's church Bible study where the entire group is going through the same book/study, but participants break off into individual small groups to discuss and offer accountability and connection. Here's a sample of the format:
Week 1: Part 1 teaching time with Alicia
Week 2: Part 1 discussion in small groups

Week 3: Part 2 teaching time with Alicia
Week 4: Part 2 discussion in small groups
Week 5: Part 3 teaching time with Alicia
Week 6: Part 3 discussion in small groups

We vote on meeting times and choose times that are the best fit for the majority of members. However, all meetings are recorded and so if participants can't join live, the replay is available within 24 hours.

The Emotional Confidence Club is perfect for women who want to better manage their everyday emotions using the science-and-scripture principles from Emotional Confidence. It’s a practical, interactive, and relational space to address daily feelings for more peace and stronger relationships.

On the other hand, the Christian Mindset Makeover is a nine-week program designed to tackle core thought patterns like perfectionism, people-pleasing, and comparison. Many women in the Makeover struggle with feeling “not enough” or unworthy.

While these programs are independent, they complement each other beautifully. Many Club members have also completed the Makeover, and vice versa.

To decide which fits you best, ask yourself: “Do I need help managing my emotions in the moment, or is it more important to address the deeper thought patterns keeping me stuck?” Still unsure? Email Alicia at hello@aliciamichelle.com to schedule a free 15-minute call—she’s happy to help!

We have weekly 1 hour calls (either in the large group teaching format or within your small group), along with light homework which includes practical exercises and worksheets to address and apply teaching concepts.

If you're struggling with trauma or mental health conditions such as depression, you are not disqualified from the Club. However, it is strongly recommended that you are also working with a good counselor or therapist who can help you address these issues as part of your healing journey. The Club is a place to learn about managing emotions using science and scripture in everyday situations and can be a complement to therapy or other mental health services but not a replacement for it.

Yes, the Emotional Confidence Club is for women only (no men). Participants do not need to identify as Christian, but they must understand that all resources and materials will be presented by an ICF-certified life coach who speaks from a Christian perspective and recommends Christian activities such as Bible reading, prayer and meditation.
