DAY 2 VIDEO TEACHING
Hello again, and welcome to Day 2 of the Free Bible Study on Managing Anxiety! I'm praying that yesterday's study encouraged you that, with God's help, yes, it is possible to learn how to manage worry, anxiety and fear.
Today we're talking about John 14:27 and how to receive God's gift of peace. I’m also including a link below to a Vibrant Christian Living podcast episode on how to find calm when you're stressed out.
STEP 1: Complete Day 2 Spiritual Growth Rhythm™ worksheet.

DAY 2 KEY POINT:
How to receive God's peace.
DAY 2 NOW WHAT:
What does calm or peace look like for you? Using all four parts of self (intellectual, emotional, spiritual and physical), brainstorm on how you could create more rhythms of peace in your day to help combat the anxiety.
Here are some examples (but feel free to come up with what works for you!):
- Physical calm: deep breaths, applying essential oils like lavender and peppermint, intense exercise, being under a weighted blanket, lighting a scented candle, drinking a cup of tea (here's my fave kind)
- Intellectual calm: noticing/managing thoughts like discussed in Day 1, reading biographies of others who have triumphed in tough times
- Emotional calm: writing emotions/fears into a journal or sharing with a trusted friend, working with a coach to release emotions and create future plans for hope
- Spiritual calm: meditating on or memorizing Bible verses, releasing fear and worry through prayer
These podcast episodes on creating an emotional restful lifestyle and how to calm down when you're stressed out are helpful too.
