4 Tips that Teach Kids to Be Kind

Teaching kids to be kind isn’t a simple three-step lesson plan that fits every kid. Teaching kids kindness is messy, unexpected and requires that we, ahem, show kindness ourselves.
Teaching kids about kindness is an ongoing lesson that requires intentionality and ongoing grace.
That's because unkind words seem to jump out of nowhere at the most inconvenient moments. As imperfect family members living in close quarters, we tend to bring out the worst in each other, don’t we?
How can we realistically teach kids to be kind?
While I don't think there's any perfect formula for teaching kids kindness, I've found four key strategies that help.
