Movies about perseverance are a simple way to teach our kids the important life skill of perseverance.

We all go through hard times–times that challenge us–and our kids need to know how to be persevere through life's challenges, right? It's one of the most important things we parents can teach our children.

Here's a list of highly recommended movies about perseverance, books about perseverance and audio books for kids about perseverance.

Why We Need to Show Our Kids Movies About Perseverance

While it's tempting to shield our kids from pain, difficulty or trials, we're promised that it's these trials that shape our character and transform us into the greatest version of ourselves (Romans 5:2-4, Hebrews 12:1, James 1:4).

Along with biblical accounts (such as that of Jesus and people like Moses, Abraham and David), we've found several books and movies that can also teach kids about the value of standing strong through trials.

Here are a few of our family's favorite children's books and movies about perseverance.

NOTE: Obviously there's a wide range of stuff here. Preview each to determine which are a good fit for your kids' ages and what your family deems appropriate.

If a book or movie about perseverance is better intended for older kids, I've put an asterisk by those because they may have a bit of language or discuss topics that are not appropriate for younger kids.
