  1. Jill, I so appreciate what you wrote here, and I am so glad it encouraged you! Yes, I had that exact Scripture in mind (I do what I don’t want to do, etc) when I was writing this. It is a growing process to be content with *just* the me I am now, but I have to remind myself that I am fully loved by God at ALL times and that Jesus was willing to trade His life for mine when I was at my ultimate worst. It’s good to hear I’m not the only one who struggles with this (especially around January 1st)! May we both be blessed this year as we focus on the source of all contentment, joy and self-worth!

  2. Thank you!!! This is so freeing and as a businesswoman and homeschool mom I am so appreciative of this mindset. I love when Peter says, (paraphrasing) I do the things I shouldn’t and don’t do what I should. We are human and not perfect, but sometimes (especially around January 1st) we tend to think we are! So, in closing, I do appreciate that you are able to just say this is where I am, better than last year but still have areas that need to be improved. Have a blessed 2014! And thank you for the encouragement.
