  1. Wonderfully put! Yes, I have to constantly rely on God’s power to parent and to be the best wife possible. I too am grateful for the Holy Spirit’s reminders to choose joy because it does make a difference! Thank you so much for stopping by and for sharing your thoughts! 🙂

  2. I love this. As a new mom, I find myself getting frustrated A LOT because I’m still adjusting to life with a little one requiring everything of me. I have to HOURLY remind myself that my son is worth it and that the Holy Spirit will provide strength for the moment and to get through each day. I’m starting to get better at choosing Joy thanks to the Holy Spirit holding me accountable! Sending love from InspiredBN on facebook 🙂

  3. Great reminder. I think all of us have been in that dark angry place from time to time. But it is important to remind ourselves not to move their permanently. Acceptance with joy has a nice ring to it.

    Thanks for sharing on #FridayFrivolity

  4. Yes… the way we see our environment and surroundings and circumstances… a hotbed of anxiety and anger and despair. I love the clarity you give to our choices. And He is faithful to walk us through the choices, the strength to make them… He wants rid of the old anxiety and more promise and healing!

  5. I think this is something that God has been bringing in front of me lately. We can choose our attitudes- trust in him, or worry about what we don’t have control over. I know that I always feel better when I can just not worry and leave it in his hands. 🙂 Thanks for the reminder.

  6. Accept what you can’t change with joy. Start changing the things that you can (pretty much just me). And realize that you can’t do it well without God’s help. I think I’ve got it.
Thank you for the great reminder. It’s so easy to forget.

  7. Alicia, there is so much wisdom and truth here. I lived the exact way you speak of for the first few years of motherhood and was constantly discontent with my life, but was able to find joy using some of the exact things you talk about here. Thank you! So many women need this.
